A recent article by AANP gave positive input on the Covid-19 vaccine FDA approvals, AANP stated that they support the CDC recommendations regarding at-risk populations being prioritized for the vaccine, that includes NPs and all other frontline healthcare workers.  AANP represents over 290,000 licensed NPs in the US and is a great resource for information on COVID-19 news. Fair and equitable distribution of the vaccine by the FDA, CDC to the public is important for everyone.  NPs nationwide are at high risk for COVID-19 exposure working on the front lines of this pandemic, their is much to be said about the stress and mental toll for all front-line Practitioners in the current COVID-19 environment.  Todays vaccine approval is great news as this COVID-19 journey as its been long and tiring for everyone.  As 2020 comes to a close science has proven to be remarkable in the relatively short time its taken to develop the vaccines that are coming online to fight this world wide pandemic, 2021 is showing a glimmer of light on the horizon with the vaccine roll out!   We at Primary Procedures look forward to supporting all Practitioners in their continuing education endeavors in what we all hope will be a healthier 2021 for the world!
